Grow classes are part of The Orchard Church annual calendar. For one month per year, we gather collectively to grow. Each week begins with lunch (community) before we break into various classes. We run a kids programme concurrently and have 4 classes on offer to choose from!
Lunch & materials are $5pp. Use FREE as a discount code if you can't afford this.
About the Grow Classes:
The Exegetical Process (Nelson)
Warning: This is a nerdy class. For those who love thinking about the Bible on a deeper level, and are not scared of a bit of grammar, this class is for you! We will learn the basics of structural diagramming to enhance your outlining of biblical passages, with a view to ultimately understanding and teaching the Bible with greater confidence.
Knowing the Saviour (Graham)
Martin Luther is often credited with saying, “Christ is the center and circumference of Scripture.” It is fitting, then, that the study of our Saviour, the Son of God, has long been known as 'Christology'. In this class, we will dig into some of the rich truths about Jesus’ person and work — not merely so that we might know more about Him, but so that we might love and worship Him more.
The Reach Workshop (Torrey - Starts Aug 16)
The Reach Workshop is a practical, discussion-based class designed to deepen your understanding of evangelism and equip you to share your faith with confidence. Over three weeks, you’ll complete a short reading beforehand and come ready to discuss, ask questions, and learn. Together, we’ll explore how to communicate the gospel clearly, thoughtfully, and naturally in everyday life.
Building Resilience in Your Children (Jodi - Aug 9 & 23 only)
Building Resilience in Your Children is a practical two-part class designed to help parents support their children through challenges, change, and disappointment. Led by Jodi, our trained counsellor, the class will share helpful tools for developing emotional strength, healthy coping skills, and greater confidence. While the focus is on parenting, many of the principles will also be valuable for adults in building resilience in their own lives. This class will run in Weeks 1 and 3 only.
